The RS 44 compound from PAGID Racing is designed as an all-round, medium-friction racing brake pad, offering balanced performance for both club motorsport and lighter competition vehicles. Constructed as a low-metal resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers, RS 44 features a smooth progression of friction from cold to hot temperatures, making it particularly user-friendly and predictable when operating across a wide range of braking loads. With a medium initial bite and very good modulation, RS 44 is well suited for rear axle applications on front-engine cars, as well as track day, club race, touring car and formula car environments where consistency and controllability are key. Although this compound has been superseded in most applications, the RS 44 remains a strong choice for drivers seeking a versatile competition pad with strong disc compatibility and predictable performance. If your pad shape is no longer available, we recommend the RSL29 pads as a suitable alternative.
